[OM] OM goodies for Sale (Australia) : re-posted without html

Subject: [OM] OM goodies for Sale (Australia) : re-posted without html

After some feedback from list members who commented on the difficulty they had with reading my post from Friday due to my use of various "neat" formatting features in Eudora 4.3, I have reposted the original message without fancy formatting.

I also had list members enquire about shipping to USA.

Airpost (2-6 days delivery) on a single item would be approx US$12 incl insurance, slightly more for multiple items.

I have listed approximate US$ prices next to each item. Current exchange rate US to Aust is that
US$0.58 = AU$1

I forgot to mention in my original post that I have original OM-2S instruction manual for each of the two bodies and the genuine Olympus "never ready" cases for each as well.

My sincerest apologies to anyone who went cross-eyed trying to decipher my original e-mail.

***************

Hi all
time to thin the OM collection (only a little though!!)  to make way for some new toys.

I have recently acquired a PowerMac G4 and a copy of Apple Final Cut Pro, but the "boss" says I have too many toys and need to sell some before I can buy a new DV camcorder.

Oh well.....
This was a tough call -  I have never had to part with any of my OM babies before.

I have decided I can't part with any of my OM-4Ti's (I have 4 now!) and my collection of OM-2n's and OM-1n's has too much sentimental value.

As per normal protocol, I am offering them here to other list members first.

Here's the list.....

1.      OM 2 Spot Program with F. Zuiko 50mm F1.8   asking AU$490  approx US$280

        *       Full clean/service by John at Shutterbox (incl new foam)
                about 3 months ago
      *       Olympus lens cap
        *       Body 9+ (slight rub marks near strap lugs)
        *       Normal brassing on film box-end holder on back

2.      OM 2 Spot Program (body only) asking AU$440 approx US$255

        *       Full clean/service by John at Shutterbox   (incl new foam)
                about 3 months ago
      *       Olympus body cap
        *       Body 8/8+ (brassing at base of lens mount)
        *       Normal brassing on film box-end holder on back
        *       I purchased these two OM-2S bodies about a year or so back
                but find I like the multi spot memory of the OM-4Ti's too much,
                so these don't get used. The manual spot meter function is nice,
                but after 10+ years with OM-4's they just don't suit the way I
                like to work.

3.      Zuiko 300mm F4.5 asking  AU$850 or approx US$495

        *       Will be back from a full clean/service by John at Shutterbox in about 2 weeks
        *       Cosmetically and optically 9+
        *       no scratches, dents, cleaning marks etc - beautiful!
        *       includes front and rear Olympus caps
    *       includes tripod collar
  *       includes Hama 72mm Skylight 1A filter
   *       I *don't* have the original hard case for this, nor the instruction sheet
        *       this is my second (spare) 300mm F4.5, and I haven't used it
                in the 6 months I have owned it. I snapped it up because it took me
                nearly 3 years of searching to get my first 300 F4.5, but having two
                of these in the cupboard *is* probably a bit excessive....

4.      Zuiko 24mm F2.8  asking AU$330  or approx US$191

        *       Cosmetically and optically 9++.
                basically LNIB other than brassing on the actual bayonet flange.
        *       No marks on glass, barrel, aperture ring etc.
        *       original case
   *       original Olympus caps front and rear
    *       original lens hood
        *       original instruction sheet
        *       original box
        *       I have owned this lens since new
        *       I love the 24mm for landscapes, but acquired a mint Zuiko 24mm F2
                about 2-3 years back and haven't used my original F2.8 since.
                It is a very compact lens and would make a nice addition to a travelling kit along
                with other 49mm filter diameter OM lenses.

Please respond to me off-list if interested.

cheers

peter gilbert
