As far as Australia is concerned, it never took off there. Kodak retail
stores were offering it but back in the early 90's people hardly wanted
a high res (i.e. large file) on a x386 :-). But these days, it's the low
cost of scanners that's hedging PhotoCD's growth.

True...I guess I tend to be  bit of a "geek" (can you guess :-)??) and
I spend some time tweaking photos through Photoshop. But I won't go as
far as completely changing the whole photo, I'd prefer subtle changes
that makes the photo still realistic.
