Not necessarily so.  That will cost you that "extra frame."  When you
pull the canister back across the body as Ken described, simply lay the
holes over the sprockets.  Then, after closing the back, tension the film
in the canister with the rewind crank, then advance and the rewind knob
will turn.  if it doesn't, THEN you have a problem.  The best thing about
loading like this is with a little practice it is a one hand operation to
load film with the left hand and the right hand never has to release that
precious OM body!   ;-)
