Evan,
        yes the BG2 does work with the T20. Makes the recycle time quicker 
and has a niece feature of trigger release for the MD/Winders.(needs a 
suitable short cord ). It also effectively adapts the T20 to Tcord use.
Standalone handle mounts flashes have better GN than T20 and often have more 
choices for selectable fixed power operation. The bounce grip 2 has the 
advantage that it has a built in Tflash connector. Makes it a little more 
versatile in multiflash with T flashes and OM2S's and later. Particularly if 
you use T32's on the BG2 it makes chaining flashes convenient. The 
Tconnectors also seem more reliable than the hotshoe adapters. The T32 on BG2 
is generally a better choice than T20 because it is more powerful and has a 
much wider angle of coverage. A niece combination is a T20 on camera hotshoe 
with taped on diffuser for direct flash and the T32 set for ceiling bounce on 
the BG2.
