Giles, If you are happy and content with your OM-1 and it makes good pictures,
No one is going to try and make you switch. I love my OM-1n, but my wife prefers
the OM-4T. That's why there are choices, everyone likes their own flavor. As for
your 
comment on the body versus the lens, I whole heartedly agree. I could stick my
Zuiko on a cardboard box with film in it and take some nice pictures. But try
putting
a cardboard tube on your OM-1 and taking some pictures. (figuratively speaking,
of course)
