Aaaarrrgggh! Pleeeeeaase stop! I don't think I can stand any more! I
feel like starving prisoner seeing through the bars of his cell a table
laden with food that's just out of reach! I fell in love with the range
of Zuiko wide angle lenses about 18 years ago, when I was able to
borrow from the local public library the well-known book "The Olympus
OM Way" by Mannheim. This book had a wealth of information on the whole
OM system at that time including, of course, the Zuiko lenses. I read
with awe about the 18, 21, 24, 28 and 35mm lenses and longed to be able
to afford them. Now I live in Indonesia and can't buy them! :-(
What people are saying in this thread is very interesting to me. My
mouth is watering! I envy those who enjoy those marvelous Zuiko wide
angle lenses and I can't wait to join you! I know I could order lenses
from overseas, through Internet, but there's no guarantee I'd ever
receive them; I might also get robbed by the Indonesian customs. As an
experiment, I ordered an Olympus 35SP from Jaap Korten's Wide Angle
site at the end of March. So far it hasn't arrived and I don't know
when it's likely to, either. That's not Jaap's fault; it's the fault of
the postal and customs services here. I'm certainly not game to order
anything more expensive from overseas until I know the fate of that
camera. Maybe I just have to wait until I can travel to a country
where they're on sale. Singapore is nearby and has some good camera
stores but Olympus gear is not that common any more.
