At around the time the Zuiko was released, Vivitar released a similar
lens. The Vivitar received better reviews than the Zuiko, one of the
reasons I bought one. It appears to be as well made as any Zuiko, and
its performance earns no discredits from me. There was a 2x multiplier
for it as well, but neither of these lenses performs well with an
extender. Curious that I rarely see a mention of the Vivitar in these
pages.
