Hello Gang,

I have been quite busy lately and couldn't even find the time to read most
of the digest messages of the last two weeks so I only read the last few
days. I noticed some questions and remarks to which I would like to respond,
mainly because I couldn't find an answer for it on the list.

Strange, the OM system Lens handbook states "Diaphragm Operation: Automatic"
and "Like all OM System lenses it provides an automatic diaphragm function
allowing photography without mirror lock-up"

The German version of "The OM Way" also states that all lenses have
automatic aperture with the exception of the shift and special macro lenses
for the bellows.

The built-in filers are Neutral, Y48, O56, R60, I believe this means yellow,
orange and red, so it's most usefull for B&W photography.

Even stranger: When I look in an older brochure (German from '79 or '80) I
see the 8mm wset to a filter setting "L39 (UV). Is this what Olympuns means
with Neutral Density?

I believe the gold version was made by Olympus. I am not sure however it was
made in Japan. I have seen it in an original German Olympus brochure (book)
from the late 70's. ( 77, 78 ?). There has also been a gold and silver body.
If I remember correctly it had something to do with the OM series winning a
prize. As I no longer have that specific brochure I cannot look it up. By
the way I am still looking to buy these brochures, so if anyone out there
still has one feel free to ask a price.

Sorry I snipped to much, so I don't know who wrote this part:

Well, didn't we all know that?

I have finally boughta 4Ti last winter and I absolutely love it. I keep it
loaded with slide film, which makes this my creative body. I use my OM-2n
for prints which I shoot mainly for the family album. If I want to travell
light I take the mju zoom 105, which is a neat compact which can withstand a
rainshower or a splash in any amusement park.

about ebay:
I have put on some smaal items for sale but don't get to many bids. The
items are nothing special so i don't bother, but the whole ebay seems slow
to me with an OM system lens handbook still out there with 1 day 5h to go.
Still $ 9.95! I have seen them sold for at least tripple that price
recently. What is happening? Is everyone out there shooting night pictures,
is it tax season in the US? Good weather all over the world so everyone sits
in the sun. Am I just trying to sell in the wrong season?

Hope not to have bored you all with all this.
