With Epson 870/1270 output, you are pressed to find visible 'ink dots' at
all, even under high magnification. Here is an example:

Resistance to fading of the new inks for these printers, when used with the
new Epson papers, reportedly will the archival quality of Cibachrome. The

I'm no Epson gadfly, having been very frustrated with previous Epson
clogging problems, which I'm not so sure have actually been solved for the
occasional user, but I was impressed enough with the buzz and reviews on
this  new printer to give them 'one more try'. And the price is right. The
870 and 1270  can  be found for about $265 and $360 respectively, maybe
better  if you're lucky.
