As a total novice to this list, allow me to just introduce myself by
defending the whole Ebay thing. I'm a dedicated OM aholic, not neccessarily
a Zuiko-holic yet. I've transacted a little over thirty items (purchases)
without getting burned. I firmly believe that if you're careful enough at
scrutinizing a person's feedback you can greatly reduce your risk. I agree
that in point of fact you are never totally safe, but again, you do have the
ultimate option of leaving your own comments about the less than ideal
traders.

My latest aquisition, which I believe slipped through most peoples' notice
due to it's limited description, was the following; OM 4Ti (champagne)
that's a solid user, cosmetically an 8 or so. With said body came a Tamaron
28mm F2.5 adaptall lens (with the OM adaper), a winder 2, and a recordata
back 3. It also included a Soligor 24-D OM flash. Not too familiar with
the flash, but I'm sure you all realize the relative worth of the rest. I
paid $356 for the whole kitten caboodle. Everyone overlooked the
non-descript heading of 'Olympus camera with electronic flash'. THANKS!!!

I'll try to do more of a thumbnail sketch of myself and my OM affinity in a
subsequent tome, as time permits.

It wasn't my comment, but I did respond to the original message and urged
you
to offer to the list first....
It IS safer to go the list route. Trust me, I've been buying and selling for

my own personal use both on camera lists and eBay. I've been ripped-off on
eBay twice. I'm not talking a minor dispute with the seller due to
condition,
I'm takling rip-off (theft, fraud). There is NO protection thru eBay, don't
even kid yourself that there is.
Most people here on this list take the time to help each other on photo
questions, and to a much lesser extent, buy and sell. Buying and selling is
not a list member's reason to belong to the list, far less selfish reasons
are our motives for being here.
Stick around and get a "feel" for the members here, you'll see for yourself
and won't have to take my word for it!

Best,
George S.
