The brightest screen I own is actually called a "Brightscreen" but 
it's made for telephotos (won't work with lenses under 180mm or so). 
It's at least a full stop brighter than the 2-4 and easier to focus 
when I'm using a long lens -- the latter is the clear choice for all 
other lenses. Haven't tried a Beattie though.
