Type of coating is a non-issue with these lenses as they are all MC

The 180/2 is very rare. You might spot one or two a year on the net if
you are lucky.

The 180/2 is expensive but delivers a fantastic image quality. I have
never regretted the expense of mine. I believe KEH had a couple of these
quite recently.

The 1.4X TC is very expensive $250-350 but is also a terrific performer
with the lenses it is matched for. With the 180/2 or 300/4.5 the image
quality with this converter is hardly degraded at all. contrast suffers a
tiny amount but either of these lenses with the 1.4 probably rivals the
performance of a prime of the equivalent specifications. Take a look at
Gary Rees's lens test page to see how well the 1.4 combines with the
matched lenses.

The 250/2 might be the rarest Zuiko to find used - one every two years on
the net?. I would say the one on eBay at $2099 was an absolute bargain if
it was in good condition. I think one should reasonable expect more like
$2500 for a good one. One of the finest 250mm lenses ever made by anyone.

If you can find a 90/2 macro for the eBay average I think you are doing
well. I wonder if the average has been distorted by poor condition
examples or something as I would have said $600 - 700 was a more typical
price range for one in nice condition.
