Thanks, Per. I've read Hans' website nearly cover to cover (or would that
be html tag to tag?). That's one reason I've been interested in the 85/2
specifically and, perhaps, one of the close focus corrected wide angles. I
have a 28/2.8 for my Canon FD gear that focuses to slightly better than 1:4
and is remarkably flat at that distance and magnification. But it's
resolution, while not bad, isn't quite up to par.
For now I'll use a 50/1.8 with the iS macro doodad, at least until I can
afford a true macro.
