Zuiks,

Jes' have to crow on this one a bit. Doing a cursory scan of the
classifieds this morning (they almost never have OM stuff) I came across an
ad for an OM-2 with 5 lenses, filters, etc. for a ridiculously low price.
Calling the guy, he told me that the lens set consisted of 4 Zuikos and a
Spiratone 400/6.3. Being hot for an OM2 and the 3.5 macro, I told him I'd
be right over.

Getting there, this is what I found:
OM2 MD w/hot shoe, E+
Never-ready case for the body
*Zuiko 24/2.8 Mint-
Zuiko 50/1.8 Mint
*Zuiko 75-150/4 NIB
Zuiko 50/3.5 Macro Mint
Spiratone 400/6.3 Mint/OM mount (odd lens, this is)
OM Lens shade for 85/2 & 100/2.8 E-
OM 25mm Extension tube NIB
*OM 1-8 Focusing screen NIB
*OM Quick Auto 300 Flash (E)
*Vivitar 2x Teleconverter Mint+
*Spiratone 60mm Close Focusing Tube for the 400 NIB
Teeeeny Sekonic Micro-Clipon exposure meter (attaches via a hotshoe) Mint+
OM Manual for Flashphoto Group
OM Manual for Zuiko Interchangeable Lenses Group
Cute little clamping-type tripod

In addition to the list above, there were numerous filters, cords, etc. All
lenses other than the 50/1.8 came with their OM cases, and the 24/2.8 with
an OM lens shade.

The Spiratone is about 16-18 inches long and has no auto-aperture. There
are two rings on the lens -- one to set the aperture and one to open/close
the aperture down to the selected stop. It weighs about 1/3 of my Zuiko
300/4.5, so I'm assuming that there's not much glass and a lot of open tube
in the lens.

Doing my best not to let me enthusiasm get the best of me, I dutifully
checked out each piece for diaphram oil or sticking, clean glass, etc. I
apparently took too long in checking the stuff out, because the guy offered
to take less money if I agreed to take the whole package. In keeping with
my _personal_ moral integrity thing, I had to tell him that what he was
selling was worth more than what he was asking, though it might take more
time to get the maximum $$$ on the stuff. He told me he was in a hurry for
the money in that he had a baby coming, so we struck a deal and I walked out
with the whole shebang.

Needless to say, I'm a happy guy.

Stuff marked with an asterisk is for sale - listees first, eBay next. I'll
figure out what they're worth and formulate appropriate listee prices --
lemme know off-list what you're interested in, and I'll do the
first-come-first-served thing. The Spiratone 400/6.3 is available, but I'm
loaning the OM mount to another listee for an undetermined amount of time.

Getting back to the plans for an OM-dedicated extension to my house...

Dave
