Well, if Pop Photo says so I'm inclined to assume it's true. After they reported on the superior performance of Kodak Photolife batteries I tried some and they definitely are peppier than Duracells and Energizers.

Are you sure?  I've examined the Wein cell pretty carefully and, to me, it
looks like nothing more than an ordinary 675 zinc air cell with a metal
collar to bring it up to 625 diameter.>
