The OM hunt continues...
Battered, bloody but unbowed after a tussle with the mighty Jessops, I was
surfing the OM carrying 2nd hand dealers and came across....an OM3....for
£300 (they usually go for nearer £400 here). Must be something wrong with
it, but I phone the chappie and he says is mint, with only minor scratches
on the baseplate, very clean. blah blah blah. So now it's mine.
"I'll send it up and you'll get it on Friday or Saturday." he says.
"No!" I scream petulantly. "I want it NOW! (Although next day delivery
will do...)"
So, I'll let you know all about it when it arrives. Had to tell someone,
awfy excited. Woke my wife up to tell her, but She wasn't interested?!
Huh?!
So, Question for the techies......
I know the OM3 drains the batteries, too, but can I expect a set to last
longer than an OM4's, because they aren't being used to work the shutter?
Is my logic correct?
Not that it matters, SR44's are cheap and small, and I was looking at the
Minoltasomethingorother website to see them proudly boasting that a set of
Li batteries will last for TWENTY ROLLS of film. Puts battery eating OM4's,
3's, 40's and 2SP's into context, doesn't it!
