Another instance of a virus attached to an E Mail - it appeared on my work
PC this morning. Stupidly I clicked on the attachment, but the Norton AV did
it's job. The message from our IT dept is below for your info. This
particular E mail was headed "Jokes"
Apologies if this has been covered before.
Incidentally I believe this virus appeared on the Photoshop mailing list
recently.
TheVBS.Stages ".A" virus has been found on our network. This virus attacks
the e-mail system.
PLEASE DO NOT OPEN ANY ATTACHMENTS THAT HAVE A DOCUMENT WITH A TITLE OF
"LIFE_STAGES.TXT.SHS"
OR
WITH A SUBJECT TITLE "FW:FUNNY" AND FROM KEVIN FOSTER
DELETE THE EMAIL, AND DO NOT OPEN OR SAVE THE ATTACHMENT.
The attachment when opened e-mails itself to EVERY address in the user's
personal address book. It also deletes data files on the affected machine.
