Ditto, Doris. The Polaris has a lot of fans. I don't find the slip-over-the-lens devices like the ExpoDisc or styrofoam cups unwieldy, tho'. 'Cept my cup keeps getting crushed in my gear bag.

True, and things like the expo-disk are clumsy to use.

in the market for hand-held meters, I think that all roads point to the Sekonic L-508.

There I disagree. Great meter, and maybe the one you champion, but
I don't buy that one-size-fits-all philosophy. Anyone contemplating
buying a meter has a lot of choices available, and should seriously
assess their needs and specially the ergonomics of prospective models.
