Tom...too late :-(. Within a week it was gone. But I have had a chat
with the service chap in Olympus Service Tokyo. Not all fungus can
be cleaned - esp if they have "hardened". I asked this of him because
I have a 55mm F1.2 that has a fungus problem. Alas, I never bothered
to try to have the 55mm cleaned.

P.S. I'm assuming the cellulose gunk in the viewfinder is fungus too
