Ain't no eagles at Eagle Mountain Lake where I live, neither. I b'leeve some ignert cowboy got mixed up over uh local hawk (which I call the Great Spotted Hood Swooper 'cause uh its penchant for swooping over car hoods at night and scarin' the bejesus outta ya).

There is uh lake tho', such as it is, more like uh mud flat up at this end with nothin' but turdles, drum an' carp an' the occasional mudcat.

Got lotsa purty pitchers uh the place tho'.

Just for the record, there are no peach trees in Peach Orchard. They
cut down 1 peach tree to put in the railroad a hundred years ago, and
named it for that one tree. Then in the 80s, they took up the
railroad. So no railroad, no peach trees in Peach Orchard - but lots
of drained swamps, ditches, cotton, mosquitos and boll weevils.
