If you had the instructions for the mount you'd be able to read that
the lens has to be at max aperture (i.e., smallest no., f/2.5) to
change the mount. To get it back on, make sure both little tabs
are seated. The tabs are amazingly easy to bend if any of this
is done wrongly, and that will cause bad exposures now and eventual
breakage later.
