From your list of "namebrands", it looks more like "Heathkit" quality from what I can see (except for McIntosh). Sorry, Pioneer rules for analog. They own 240f the hardware patents during that era. Could never figure out AR, Inc. or whatever they called themselves as each month progressed. Then they went bust after 3 or 4 years.
