After lots of lens stuff something completely different:
I have a really nice cobweb just in front of my window, a spider
is sitting in the middle of it since some days. Got the idea to take
a picture of it at night with a flash. Thought this would be
difficult because I wanted it to shine really bright. It seems
to be more than that. Here is what I have done:
Mounted the OM4t on a tripod, connected the T32 with flashcord
and held it in my hand in front and under the web - reasons for
this: distance with the 3.5/50 macro between 7 inches (for details) and
17 inches for the whole thingy. The other problem I hoped to avoid is
that I would get to much light at the background. I'm looking out
of the window right away in an hugh old tree ~10 feet away.
Made a series to get hopefully some good shots.
Aperature between 3.5 and 8, used TTL Measuring.
I got some pictures, but not with the result I hoped for. I can
see the background on the pictures, but the web isn't as bright
as I wanted, it is some sort of shiny but not bright.
Any way to fool the measuring of the 4T ? Putting one ore more
highlight spots at really thin threads of the web are useless
lines are to thin...
Any solution before the web is gone ?
