that it's completely across the negative in bands, AND the fact that these 
are indoor shots. My opinion is that it very well may be the lab, or the film 
cassette was compromised, and maybe it's not your camera's fault.  My own 
experience with light leaks from the camera's fault- has been mostly that a 
single edge of a negative has been "streaked". A flash synch problem would be 
a black bar along one edge of the negative. 
I think you should shoot a test roll in the exact (party) conditions that the 
ruined roll was shot and send to a different lab. ALSO- shoot a roll in 
daylight, outdoors, and send to that different lab.. Then, you can see if was 
the first lab's fault, which is my suspicion.
Then again, someone else here may be able to definitely say what it is from 
their own experience.
