Seriously, I'd suggest the normal lens or a moderate wide angle (no more than 28mm) along with one of those relatively inexpensive fisheye adaptors that fit in the filter threads. Mine cost eight bucks at a pawn shop, but even at full retail they're usually only about $50. And loads of fun, even if the resolution ain't great.

Here are a couple of recent pix using a Zuiko 50/1.8 and fisheye adaptor - that combo equals a 21mm with loads of curvature.

You can see the edge resolution isn't too sharp, but the center's not bad. Use fast film, set the aperture to f/8 or smaller for good DOF, and fire away. BTW, DOF does *not* increase with the addition of the adaptor, despite claims to the contrary. You're still stuck with the DOF and hyperfocal characteristics of a 50mm lens, not that of a 21mm.

Finally, I'd definitely get one of those harness straps that pull the camera into the chest. It can get very difficult to hold anything on those crazy coasters. I once lost a girlfriend's glasses thinking I could hang onto 'em better than she could. Lost the girlfriend too. [sigh] You'da thought I'd look better without the glasses.

coasters...Any ideas on a suitable fixed-focal length
lens?
