[OM] Will I ever learn?

You would think that I would learn my lesson, but...

My new boss is getting married on Sunday and asked me
if I am available for hire? Yup. Sure. No Problem.
I charge $xxx plus all costs and $xx per print.

Thinking I'd get rejected at the cost I was surprised
when she said "No problem!"

This should be cool. Outdoor wedding, horseranch
theme, pond, bluejeans, small scale, etc.

Ok, I did modify the price a bit since I didn't want
to come across as "gouging". After all, I would like
to maintain good employee/employer relations. I gave
her my "friends and family" pricing which is still
high enough to adjust my schedule for.

I really should have said "no".

At least it will help pay for the vacation. I hope it
isn't permanent. :0

I'm going to do the wedding in both color (Portra 160
NC)and B&W with the T400CN (rated at 160). Sticking
with the same film speed is important as it will
reduce the potential for errors. I'd like to use the
medium format camera for the wedding and am figuring
to use it for the B&W film. I'll provide B&W
enlarging services myself. 6x7 T400CN negs should be
about as good as 8x10 Tri-X negs.

I may use the IS-3 for this wedding instead of the OMs
because of the higher flash-sync speed. I prefer the
T400CN to be shot at around ISO 200 anyway and the
extra third isn't gonna hurt any. I can always adjust
upward a smidge if necessary.

Just when you were thinking of getting out of the
wedding business... But even at my discounted rate,
with B&W reprints, I will still reach my average
wedding income. No wonder B&W is being pushed again
by wedding photogs.
