Good test C.H.Ling,
        I suspected that uv filter solution wouldn´t be so
effective, but I can´t understand why if you stop down you
can reduce this aberration. The best way to check this 
problem is to make the following test:

As you can see, this Olympus camera has also chromatic 
aberration like my CAMEDIA 2500L, and you should overexpose
your photos 3 stops to see this purple frrrringiiing!!!
