I was playing with a friend's IS-200 this weekend, and I couldn't find any provision for exposure compensation or manual SS. This was a bit disturbing, at least for me. It had full auto and various programs though.

Also, look on the SIF at http://members.nbci.com/_XMCM/veluwen/om-sif/is-series/is-series.htm for a LOT of info. I'd read this one through before I bought an IS.

I really liked the overall package, the speed, and format. It's a winner as long as you don't need interchangable lenses. For a one-camera-does-it-almost-all, it's a good choice, IMHO.

Maybe someone else could comment on the various IS models?

Also, did you think of trying used?

I asked him what he thought was most important
and he said exposure accuracy.
