Nope, it has been sold with soft pouch 100N since its USA intro of Sept
1, 1986. Most hard lens cases were dropped from production on January
1, 1986, probably as a cost containment move. That was a time that the
yen was dipping against the dollar and camera manufacturers were in
fierce competition with each other and generic manufacturers.
I see no indication that a case ever existed for the 50mm f/2 Macro,
which was introduced 5 months earlier.
The USA stock number on the 55mm f/1.2 was 108-340.
