The times I have seen Quattros race on TV, they seem to have an amazing
ability to corner on slippery surfaces. What gives?

This is due to installation of the OM40's ESP system, which apparently does
things to the suspension on the fly. I was coincidentally watching a UK TV
programme on just this car today, and presenter Tiff Needell ( a racing
driver of sorts ) had to turn off the ESP to get the thing to do a 180
degree spin turn ( a Tiff special ).

I don't really approve of all this macho big toy nonsense, but intend to
bore you all to death with bike stories when you are least expecting it ;-)

As to the Euro meet in Belgium, it was great. Nice to see the faces and meet
the personalities. Great place to meet, but anywhere would have been good
with these guys and gals. Looking forward to the next one...

Donald.
