Probably explains her inability to look inwards.

Come on over (leave the gun at home) - an American colleague of mine
decided to take out citizenship when she saw our previous and rather
unpopular State Premier (approximate equivalent of a state governor)
walking his dogs down a busy street in an admittedly 'nice' neighborhood
without bodyguards and apart from getting a few "Morning, Jeff" waves,
no-one bothered him at all. She decided that this couldn't happen back
'home'.
On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend Nairobi, Port Moresby, Somalia...

Change your channel - we get a deluge of stories about how nasty most of
the US is - bullshit of course but.... Trouble is that our contingent of
rural redneck crazies see the US/NRA as a role model. You're infectious.
Also, prioritise your risks - driving to the shopping mall is probably more
life-threatening than many of things you've armed yourself against
(especially in a Corvette).
