I didn't realize 'til I looked just now how comparitively fragile the mirror
stop tab on the OM is. The same device on my Canons is a sturdy
button-shaped thing.
But, like ears, I guess nothing bigger than a fist should go inside that
mirror box anyway.

If mirror "stop" tab is out of position, then mirror angle is wrong.
Infinity focus will then be off with ALL your lenses.
