I don't know whether my 35mm f2.8 is single or multi-coated.  It is not marked
MC.  Its serial number is 216689.  Perhaps someone can help out.  As I learned
from Tom, early multi-coated lenses bore the designation MC, but after all
lenses became multi-coated, they dropped the designation.  So everybody break
out their 35mm f2.8 and let's see if we can find the version marked MC with the
lowest serial number.
