I asked the same question. The person I was talking to didn't have an
answer for that at all, but now that they know it was an auction, they're
sticking to their guns. So far, I've talked to 5 or 6 people in the post
office, and I've never met a ruder, more condescending group of people in my
life. I asked what would happen if I had paid cash and their response was
simple: They wouldn't pay the claim. Period.
