Here is the scoop from the regional USPS Insurance Claims Manager:
In Feb. 2000 the USPS issue a new policy that online auction mechandise
insurance claims must show proof of payment. A copy or stub or cancelled
check will suffice. The auction page or End of Auction notice does
provide proof of valuation. But both are required. The reason for the
change was due to fraud activities. Claims were filed for merchandise in
which money never changed hands.
So, start photocopying payments, printing out Billpoint summaries,
whatever . . . so you can show a payment was made.
