On second thoughts, maybe it is not so dangerous, as the glass itself is not
directly exposed (unless the coatings are porous) since the lenses are
coated. I had read somewhere to keep silicone lubricant away from glass
because it may molecularly bond somehow and since the risk is not worth it to
me I will continue avoiding it.
