A few weeks ago (and more recently I think too) on the list there was some
discussion on how to pay for things on Ebay from other countries. In Britain
we've not had proper International Money orders for a while. I think I've
discovered the easiest method American Express money orders which only
cost 5 pounds sterling for any amount up to $1000. And they are secure and
there's no charge for the vendor.
Another method I've used is Moneygrams which are virtually instant, are
cheaper than Western Union and with a significantly better exchange rate.
