Yes - I had a Minolta 7s (?) which did this. It was an earlier feature of
many rangies - often the aperture and shutter rings locked together (with a
button release) and you also got a light value (EV) reading from a window
on the lens for your choice of shutter/diaphrgm combination - just set the
number to match your hand-held meter! Very neat.
