This has probably already been responded to (and then some), but...
The OM-2000, Nikon FM-10 and FE-10, plus several others including Vivitars,
Ricohs and Yashicas, and even the new Voigtlaender bodies, are all Cosinas
sharing pretty much the same chassis. If you examine even the odd-looking
Voigtlaender Bessa L the similarities are apparent.
The Nikon FM2N is still all-Nikon, with all that implies (other than the
EM).
According to a Pop Photo dissection the Cosina bodies should be extremely
sturdy - they're essentially a solid die-cast chassis. From what I've been
reading the bits that cause problems are fairly minor, tho' a nuisance:
shutter; electronics; etc. Under warranty, of course, no problem - other
than the hassles and loss of confidence. If I felt really confident they'd
worked out the bugs I've got a serious drool on for a Bessa L and one of
those 15mm IncrediWides. Otherwise I guess I'd spring the extra couple
hundred for a Leica III-series.
OTOH, I've poked at and peeked through lots of Cosina-made SLRs - mostly
used and even a few new and abused at Wal-mart (those of you who've shopped
Wally World's photo dept. know what I mean) - and I've yet to personally
witness a broken one.

...what's the FM-10 ? It is not the same thing
as an FM/2/2n. Plus, if the FM-2n is a Cosina, then they're truly sturdy
things.
