Hi Jim,
Appears the battle lines are well defined. I don't think the price is 
the problem but rather the circumstances which surround this lens. 
At first glance it would appear that this was a clear cut case of 
buying off eBay to turn a fast buck from list members who in fact 
had been following the same auction for a chance to "WIN" this 
piece. Only when the real reason of the resale surfaced did it 
become clear that turning a qick profit was not the primary reason 
to sell the lens.  

Maybe it best if list members take a deep breath, count to their 
magic number and refrain from saying something that may hurt 
feelings or further divide this list.
