Yes, that's the electro-magnet that controls the shutter speed, which
occasionally becomes "sticky".  The OM-2s, 4, & 4T electro-magnets are
similarly located.  The electro-magnets for the OM-2, 2n, 10, G/20 &
F/30 are somewhat further inside the camera and more difficult to access
safely.
