Hi Chip,
I also have put my eye into this outstanding
camera. It seems E-series will be the Pro-line into
Olympus Digital market. Maybe they´ll go with the
same numbering; E-10 E-20 E-30 E-40 and E-1 E-2 E-3
and E-4Ti ;-) So we´ll have to wait sometime to have
a new OM4Ti!!!
The problem with this camera is maximum shutter
speed!!! If you like portrait like me, you´ll need
short deep of field and consistently high shutter speeds!
With 1/640s, you won´t be able to enjoy taking photos
with 1.45x lens converter, usign one 200/f2,4!!! Of
course you always can make photos into studio. Try with
your camera, set your ISO dial to 80 (supposed to be the
lowest ISO from E-10) and then select f2 number and
with daylight, have a look to your shutter speed; 1/1000
1/2000 etc... You always can take neutral density filters!!!
But, there is nothing like our OM4Ti, isn´t it?
Optical quality is simply amazing!!! I´ve printed
out some examples with my HP-930C at 350dpi (more than
whatever photographic paper) with glossy paper and I´ve
never seen such perfection!!! Have a look at photo.askey.net
and download the cat´s photo taken at f2,4 !!! Resolution
is... wow!!!!!!!!
