The right hand shot ("New Farm") is an XA shot. But I won't hear of vignetting or exposure faults. It is skill and artistry on my part ... geddit?

I actually have come to like the vignetting effect of the XA. And, I do
think the XA lens results in nice colors. Thinking about it, it is probably
the lack of the proverbial 1A filter that has lots to do with it.

Speaking of the vignetting, if you do low color depth scans for web page
purposes, the effect becomes very noticable. The two XA shots of one of my
old trucks on the following web page really illustrate the vignetting:

It was noticable on the prints, but in the scans it really jumps out. (These
were just grab shots before I bought the truck, not intended to have
artistic content...)
