Fear not, Dave. The Polaroid 35 Plus scanners at my local Eckerd did a great job on my Kodachromes - excellent detail even in shadows. Take a peek at my TOPE 3 entry - it shows only a fraction of what the scanner is capable of with Kodachrome, because that entry is actually a flatbed scan of a dye sublimation print made from a 35 Plus scan. These scanners have been turning up factory refurbished on ubid and ebay for less than $500.

Alternatively, Shutterbugger <g> David Brooks continues to recommend the (GASP!) Canoscan 2710 in the $500-or-so range.

Now I am confused! So what scanner and or software do I get that will scan the may Kodachrome slides I have and will make in the future? Geez!
