I think my MD 2 is quieter than my winder2. But, (just my opinion, I
haven't measured the decibels) I think both units are quieter than the
camera/lens! You tend to think the drive unit is the noisy part, but I
think that because the drive unit makes noise for a longer duration than
the camera it becomes more noticible and thereby seems louder. Listen
carefully, I think you'll find the shutter and mirror make the loudest
noise while the winder, or the MD2, prolong the noise, but at a lower
level. Anybody want to measure that and report back?
