There appears to be particularily strong sample variation in this lens,
so my results at:
http://members.aol.com/olympusom/lenstests/default.htm
may say nothing about your particular lens (or the one you might buy).

I have yet to test a 35mm f/2.8 multi-coated with mirror and diaphragm
prefire, so a SQF comparison is impossible at this time.

One can safely say that edge performance in the 35mm f/2 at f/2 isn't up
to snuff for exacting users. But a good sample will give you high
professional performance in the center. A rule of thumb for wide angle
Zuikos is not to expect too much from the corners wide open, with the
28mm f/2 perhaps being the best of the lot wide open.
