I've been trying to fix the hair-trigger shutter on my XA and have
isolated the problem to a missing part within the XA shutter assembly
(under the red button) itself. Inside the shutter assembly are a few
small pieces. They are in order from top down:
Red Button
Small Phillips Screw
Black Plastic Piece
Gold H-shaped Spring
Small Brass Sleeve that acts as a spacer -- This is what I need
Gold Shutter Contact with Red Wire Attached
Grey Conductive Foam Material
Gold Shutter base and Ground for Shutter contact
For some reason my XA is missing the brass sleeve. If you've got a
broken or "parts" XA, I'd love to purchase the sleeve, or shutter
assembly, or whole shebang from you. Or I'd trade for an Olympus
step-down filter (details to follow) or Shoe 3, or just plain cash.
