Giles -- I seem to recall that there used (40 yrs ago) to be a sort of "kit"
that we occasionally used to duplicate stone artifacts in epoxy -- prolly
the same sort of thing used to make "new" scrimshaw whale's teeth. These
have flexible plastic molds and the epoxy is filled in using a modern-day
equivalent of the lost wax process.. Would some West System epoxy with the
appropriate microfibers be strong enough? -- certainly it is liquid enough
and sets up relatively quickly. Sounds like a fun little project!
