Hi Sam

Diesel fuel is only marginally cheaper than unleaded petrol/gas, and
sometimes it is more expensive. The only consistent economic advantage to
using diesel is the improved fuel consumption which might lift my OMega to
about 45miles per gallon (10 miles per litre).

Dear John,

Is Diesel fuel in your country any cheaper, versus gasoline? Here in the
United States, there is no difference($1.59 a 9/10ths of a gallon), but in
the old days, there was a difference, diesel was always cheaper.

In the United States back in 1983-1987, Isuzu sold a great little diesel
engine that was available in their Isuzu P'up truck line models and
available in their I-Mark automobile model.

For some reason it was discontinued in the United States. I have heard 2
reasons why, one was environmental, the other was Cheverolet purchased 49%
of Isuzu Diesel, and only want the Diesel available in the Silverado's.
(their brand truck)

Chevrolet in the past could never produce a relaible diesel engine that
could compete with Fords diesel enigne. Now Chevy (really Isuzu) diesels
have an excellent reputation.

The point in all of this is, are diesel engines in your country more
prevalent than gasoline engine automobiles?

They no longer sell any new diesel automobiles in the United States,
Trucks
yes, but not cars. I here in Europe and other Countries, they are popular?

Thanks,

Sam....
