Pro:
Relatively cheap
Tiny, lightweight (190g), sharp
Superlatively portable, a true go-anywhere lens
49mm filter thread.

Con:
Some barrel distortion at 35mm
f4.5 (at 70mm) is a little dark for easy focussing
No DoF markings on barrel (if you're bothered about such things)
Zoom & aperture are too close together

Cons (or gripes) are IMHO only minor. Dim focussing image could probably be
eased by a 2-series screen, and anyway it's not the only lens that has a
f4.5 aperture. It's so small you can forgive this and the handling gripe,
where you sometimes grip the zoom instead of the aperture ring as they're so
close together. However, nothing is perfect.

It's the kind of lens you can carry anywhere, as it's as light and only
fractionally larger than a standard lens.
